About the Office

The Law Office of Omar R. Jishi is a California law practice based in the Los Angeles area. Omar founded the firm to provide careful, practical representation across a broad range of matters, with direct attention to each client and each case.

Before founding his firm, Omar practiced at Jones Day, where he worked on high-stakes patent litigation across multiple industries. He has worked on disputes across various technologies, including RFID systems, digital imaging technology, and battery manufacturing, and has advised a global aerospace engine manufacturer on patent portfolio risk and enforcement strategy.

His experience also includes substantial work in matters involving individual rights and personal stakes. He has led multiple successful domestic violence restraining order matters, argued motions in court, worked to overturn a wrongful-conviction, and handled First Amendment appeals before the Second and Eighth Circuits.

Before entering the legal profession, he worked as an engineer at The Boeing Company and Saab. He brings that same analytical discipline to litigation—breaking down systems, testing assumptions, and building arguments that hold up under technical and legal scrutiny.

Omar earned his J.D. from UCLA School of Law, where he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Islamic and Near Eastern Law. He also holds a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. He is admitted to practice in California, and he is fluent in Arabic.
